The AI road trip planner in the Tourific app · Updated
An AI road trip planner that finds a place to stay each night
Describe the drive in a sentence and the Route Planner in the Tourific app answers with real routes, the driving split by day, a place to stay each night with its price, and the creator videos filmed along the way. Saved as a trip, it keeps a road trip assistant that changes the plan when you ask: a change you name happens at once, with Undo, and one you did not spell out waits for Apply.
Free on iPhone and Android, with 150 agent credits a month on the free plan, 600 on Pro. Plans trips around the world, with creator videos from more than 100 countries and territories.

What it does
What the Route Planner can do
Routes between real places
Route options for the drive you describe, each with its days, miles and the creator videos filmed along it, so you pick between real roads, not a guess.
Whether your days are enough
It weighs the driving against your days and says so: 755 miles over 3 days came back Tight but Doable, about 5.3 hours a day, with day 3 at 7.2 hours.
A place to stay each night
Stays near each night's stop with their rating and price, and a link to book. Before you set dates, the prices are for a sample night, and it says so.
Costs for the car you drive
Fuel or charging for your own car, EV or RV, with tolls, food and lodging, per day and per person.
Changes by chat
In a saved trip, ask its road trip assistant to add or skip a stop, move one to another day, add a day or attach a stay to a night. The map and drive times follow.
It asks before a change you did not name
Who is coming, your trip style, or a stop far off the route: those wait for Apply, with what the change costs in driving.
Grounding
Where its answers come from
- Real roads. Routes and drive times come from road routing and are worked out again when a stop changes.
- Live stays and tours. Stays and prices come from Stay22, the same listings the trip's Book buttons open; things to do at each night's stop come from Viator.
- Creator videos. Short videos uploaded to Tourific by the creators who filmed them, each tagged to its place and reviewed by the Tourific team.
- Your trip and your car. The vehicle, party and daily driving limit saved with the trip and your profile.
Limits
What it will not do
- It does not book for you. Book and View deal open the stay's own booking page; you decide and pay there.
- It does not invent places. Every stop and stay it names comes from a real listing or a creator video.
- It does not quote your dates without them. Until the trip has dates, a price is for a sample night, and the answer says so.
- It does not drive the route. Hands the route to Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Can an AI plan a road trip with a place to stay each night?
Yes. Asked for a 3 day road trip from San Francisco to Portland along the coast with a place to stay each night, Tourific's Route Planner split the 755-mile drive into three days and listed stays for each night with prices, such as Mendo Bungalow in Mendocino at about $185 for a sample night and Bayview Inn in Crescent City at about $90.
Does it say when a drive is too long for my days?
It does. For San Francisco to Portland in 3 days it said the coastal route is 755 miles with 15.9 hours of driving, so three days is tight, with day 3 at about 7.2 hours behind the wheel before stops.
Can I change a saved road trip by chatting?
Yes. Inside a saved road trip, the road trip assistant makes a change you name at once, with Undo: "Skip Coos Bay" took the stop off and redrew the route. A change you did not spell out waits for Apply: "We're bringing our 2 year old" asked to update the trip to 2 adults and 1 child.
Are the hotel prices real?
They are live listings from Stay22. Before the trip has dates, the planner prices a sample night and says so. In the saved trip, each night's stop shows a stay with its price and a Book button, such as Seagull Inn Bed & Breakfast in Mendocino at $279 a night.
Is Tourific's AI road trip planner free?
Yes, to start: 150 agent credits a month on the free plan, 600 on Pro, and 10 road trips and 3 city itineraries a month. Tourific Pro costs $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year, bought in the iPhone or Android app.
Where does it work?
Plans trips around the world, with creator videos from more than 100 countries and territories. The routes, stays and costs work wherever you drive; how many creator videos a route has depends on where creators have filmed, and the answer says when a stretch has none.
